D01 Beijing arrival Welcome to Beijing. Beijing served as the capital of 5 dynasties over a period of 800 years with each emperor identified as a dragon sent from the heaven. Spend the rest of the day exploring the nearby streets, or resting and catching up on your jetlag.
D02 Beijing The day's sightseeing begins with a visit to Tiananmen Square - the heart of Beijing and the Forbidden City, the largest and most intact conglomeration of ancient structures of the imperial palace ever built in the world, features more than 800 buildings with 9999rooms, resplendent golden-glazed roofs, red lacquered pillars and vermilion walls. Visit Temple of Heaven, used to offer sacrifices to heaven and pray for good harvest in ancient times. (B+L)
D03 Beijing Journey to the Great Wall and stroll along this incredible wonder, the only man-made structure visible from space! Enjoy the breathtaking view! Before returning to the city you’ll enjoy visiting the Chang Tomb (one of the Ming tombs), and the attractive tree-lined Sacred Road. This is an attractive destination as much for the natural scenery of the area as for the tombs themselves. You will also visit the the Bird Nest (Olympic National Stadium) and the Water Cube (Olympic Aquatic Center). A delicious Peking Duck Dinner awaits us at the end of the day. (B+L+D)
D04 Beijing-Huangshan by air Fly to Huangshan Tunxi. Visit the Tunxi Old Street, built 700 years ago in the Song dynasty. Its total length is about 1.5 km and the sides of the street are laid with slab stones. Visit the Ink-stick Workshop, one of the most famous ink stone factories in China, where you can see the whole working process. (B+L)
D05 Huangshan Transfer to Huangshan Scenic Area, and take the Yungu cable car up the mountain. Known as "the loveliest mountain of China", Mt. Yellow is noted for its statuesque mountains and rich cultural heritage. In 1990 the UNESCO put Mt. Yellow on its list of "World Natural and Cultural Heritages". Enjoy the view of the Beginning-to-Believe Peak, the Peach Blossom Valley, the Lion Peak, the Flying-over Rock and the Bright Summit. Enjoy sun-set if the weather is fine. Stay at your hotel on the mountain. (B+L)
D06 Huangshan-Shanghai by air Enjoy the sunrise if the weather is fine. After breakfast, take the cable car down the mountain. Drive to Hongcun Village, a typical Chinese Buffalo-shaped Ancient Village with a history of 800 years. It is praised as "a village in the Chinese painting". Fly to Shanghai. Stroll in the Nanjing Road, one of the most popular fashion and shopping destinations in China, and visit the Bund (Wai Tan) waterfront area, where used to be foreign concessions and now is the symbol of modern Shanghai. (B+L)
D07 Shanghai A sightseeing journey takes us to the Jade Buddha Temple, one of the best-preserved temples in China which contains two Burmese jade Buddha statues, and Yu Garden which is characteristic of the architectural style of the Ming Dynasty and has a history of 400 years. The neighboring Yuyuan Bazaar, known as "Old City God's Temple Market", is the place where visitors loitering among a cluster of shops, restaurants and recreation facilities invariably find themselves making a tour of discovery of local folklore and Ming and Qing architecture. Climb Oriental TV Tower for a bird eye view of the city. (B+L)
D08 Shanghai-Suzhou-Shanghai Take van to Suzhou, referred as the Venice of the East. Visit the Lingering Garden, the best garden in Suzhou as well as being one of the four most famous gardens in China, and the Master of Nets Garden the smallest yet the most impressive one of the Suzhou residential gardens. Tour a silk factory, where you can learn how silk is extracted from silk worms, and gain some hands-on experience turning it into the fine material used to create Chinese costumes. In the afternoon, cruise on Grand Canal, the longest man-made waterway as well as being the greatest in ancient China. (B+L)
D09 Shanghai departure Depart Shanghai for the next destination. (B)

They may also prefer to choose a unique restaurant which appeals to their own unique interests.
