D01 Beijing arrival
Welcome to Beijing. Beijing served as the capital of 5 dynasties over a period of 800 years with each emperor identified as a dragon sent from the heaven. Spend the rest of the day exploring the nearby streets, or resting and catching up on your jetlag.

D02 Beijing
The day's sightseeing begins with a visit to Tiananmen Square-the heart of Beijing and the Forbidden City, the largest and most intact conglomeration of ancient structures of the imperial palace ever built in the world. Explore its Chambers and view the priceless treasures of China's past. In the afternoon, visit Temple of Heaven, used to offer sacrifices to heaven and pray for good harvest in ancient times. Watch the exciting Legend of Kungfu at Red Theatre in the evening. The show is a must-see production in Beijing for tourists and Kung Fu lovers. (B+L+D)

D03 Beijing
Journey to the Great Wall and stroll along this incredible wonder, the only man-made structure visible from space! Enjoy the breathtaking view! Before returning to the city you’ll enjoy visiting the Chang Tomb (one of the Ming tombs), and the attractive tree-lined Sacred Road. This is an attractive destination as much for the natural scenery of the area as for the tombs themselves.You will also visit the the Bird Nest (Olympic National Stadium) and the Water Cube (Olympic Aquatic Center). A delicious Peking Duck Dinner awaits us at the end of the day. Eating Peking duck is seen to be one of the two things you are absolutely supposed to do while in Beijing. The other one is climbing the Great Wall. (B+L+D)

D04 Beijing-Xian by air
Visit Summer Palace, the largest ancient preserved garden in China and a former summer retreat for Emperors and the chosen few before departing Beijing for the next destination. Fly to Xian, ancient captical of China. Dumpling Dinner with dumplings making demonstration will be served. This is an experience for the dumpling connoisseur, the flavours, shapes and colours will tempt the palette, while the elegant names and stories attached to each variety are truly amazing.  (B+L+D)

D05 Xian
Experience the thrill and awe of seeing the individually sculpted faces of thousands of life-sized Terra Cotta Warriors. In the afteroon, visit the 1200-year-old Wild Goose Pagoda, one of the best known Buddhist pagodas in the country and Great Mosque, one of the oldest, largest and best-preserved Islamic mosques in China. In the evening, enjoy Tang Dynasty Show. The show is treasured as a national art which fully reflects the glory and richness of the Tang dynasty era, the golden time in Chinese history over a thousand years ago. (B+L+D)

D06 Xian-Guilin by air
Visit the superb Shaanxi Historical Museum, one of the best museums in China where you can learn a lot about the 5,00 year brilliant history of China and hike half an hour along the Ancient City Wall, the most complete city wall that has survived in China. Fly to Guilin, the scenery of which has been called the finest under heaven. (B+L)

D07 Guilin-Yangshuo by boat                                    
In the morning, enjoy a cruise down the winding Li River through Guilin’s magnificent scenery of spectacular limestone reflected in the shimmering waters, passing picturesque fishing villages and viewing the simple rural life along the riverbank. Disembark at Yangshuo, visit the lovely small town, and enjoy a stroll through the tiny, pedestrian streets of Yangshuo. (B+L)

D08 Yangshuo-Guilin by van
In the morning, you will cycle along the Yulong River. On the way, breathe the fresh air and take in the beautiful rural scenery. In the afternoon, drive back to Guilin, visit the Elephant Trunk Hill, a symbol of Guilin which resembles an elephant drinking from the Li River, and  Reed Flute Cave where you will find many stalactites, stalagmites, stone pillars, stone curtains and stone flowers in numerous forms. In the evening, Watch Garden Night at Royal Garden Hotel, a show of Chinese minority nationalities, features the live music, graceful dances, wonderful acrobatics and colorful dresses, provides the guests a really wonderful time. D09 Guilin-Shanghai by air
Climb the Fubo Hill for a panoramic view of Guilin’s unique scenery. Fly to Shanghai, the economic city of China. Stroll in the Nanjing Road, one of the most popular fashion and shopping destinations in China, and visit the Bund (Wai Tan) waterfront area, where used to be foreign concessions and now is the symbol of modern Shanghai. Here is the best place to capture the western influence of the old days. (B+L)

D10 Shanghai                                          
A sightseeing journey takes us to the Jade Buddha Temple, one of the best-preserved temples in China containing two Burmese jade Buddha statues, and Yu Garden founded by the Pan family, rich Ming Dynasty officials after the construction of 18 years. The nearby Bazaar offers some delicious lunchtime snacks and welcome greenery. More than 100 specialty shops and restaurants jostle shoulders over narrow laneways and small squares. Climb Oriental TV Tower for a bird eye view of the city. Watch stunning acrobatic extravaganza- Era-intersection time. As the first of its kind in China, it is the combination of traditional Chinese acrobatic arts and modern technology. (B+L+D)

D11 Shanghai-Suzhou-Shanghai by van
Take van to Suzhou, referred as the Venice of the East. Visit the Lingering Garden, and  Master of Nets Garden, the smallest yet the most impressive one. Tour a silk factory, where you can learn how silk is extracted from silk worms, and gain some hands-on experience turning it into the fine material used to create Chinese costumes. In the afternoon, take boat to cruise on Grand Canal, the longest man-made waterway as well as being the greatest in ancient China. (B+L)

D12 Departure Shanghai
Depart Shanghai for the next destination. (B)
