D01 Beijing arrival
Welcome to Beijing. Beijing served as the capital of 5 dynasties over a period of 800 years with each emperor identified as a dragon sent from the heaven. Today, it has roughly eleven million residents. Spend the rest of the day exploring the nearby streets, or resting and catching up on your jetlag.
 
D02 Beijing
The day's sightseeing begins with a visit to the Tiananmen Square- heart of Beijing and the Forbidden City, the largest and most intact conglomeration of ancient structures of the imperial palace ever built in the world. Explore its Chambers and view the priceless treasures of China's past. In the afternoon, visit Temple of Heaven, used to offer sacrifices to heaven and pray for good harvest in ancient times. In the evening, Watch the exciting Legend of Kungfu at Red Theatre. The show is a must-see production in Beijing for tourists and Kung Fu lovers. (B+L+D)
 
D03 Beijing
Journey to the Great Wall and stroll along this incredible wonder, the only man-made structure visible from space! Enjoy the breathtaking view! Before returning to the city you’ll enjoy visiting the Chang Tomb (one of the Ming tombs), and the attractive tree-lined Sacred Road. This is an attractive destination as much for the natural scenery of the area as for the tombs themselves. You will also visit the the Bird Nest (Olympic National Stadium) and the Water Cube (Olympic Aquatic Center). A delicious Peking Duck Dinner awaits us at the end of the day. Eating Peking duck is seen to be one of the two things you are absolutely supposed to do while in Beijing. The other one is climbing the Great Wall. (B+L+D)
 
D04 Beijing-Xian by air
In the morning take rickshaw to explore the Hutong, a kind of ancient-city compound, to see traditional style courtyards and locals doing their daily chores. Sample some authentic Chinese family food in their home. Fly to Xian, ancient capital of China. Dumpling Dinner with dumplings making demonstration will be served. This is an experience for the dumpling connoisseur, the flavours, shapes and colours will tempt the palette, while the elegant names and stories attached to each variety are truly amazing.  (B+L+D)
 
D05 Xian
Experience the thrill and awe of seeing the individually sculpted faces of thousands of life-sized Terra Cotta Warriors. In the afternoon, visit the 1200-year-old Wild Goose Pagoda, one of the best known Buddhist pagodas in the country and built to house more than 600 Buddhist scriptures brought back from India. Continue the visit to Great Mosque, one of the oldest, largest and best-preserved Islamic mosques in China and famous for its particular design of mixed architecture - traditional Muslim and Chinese styles. In the eveing, enjoy Tang Dynasty Show, treasured as a national art which fully reflects the glory and richness of the Tang dynasty era, the golden time in Chinese history over a thousand years ago. D06 Xian-Lhasa by air
Visit the Ancient City Wall, the most complete city wall that has survived in China. Fly to Lhasa.  The guide will meet you at Gongar airport (3600m). On the way the van will stop for many marvelous views. Upon arrival at Lhasa city (3658m), check into the hotel to acclimatize the high altitude. (B+L)
 
D07 Lhasa
Today visit Potala Palace, the winter palace of the Dalai Lama and one of the most famous architecture works of Tibet & the cream of Tibetan culture. It will take you at least 2 hours to visit all those rooms, halls and chapels. In the afternoon go for a tour to Jokhang monastery, bustling with worshippers and redolent with mystery. It has architectural features from the Tang Dynasty. The quadrangle of streets surrounding the Jokhang is the Barchor Bazaar- Lhasa's most interesting pilgrimage circuit, which gives you a curious sensation of having slipped through time into a medieval carnival. D08 Lhasa
Bid a tour for Sera Monastey where you can enjoy the excellent lection debate if you are lucky, and Norbulingka, the summer palace of Dalai Lama. After visit to Tibet Museum and local family, you can also have a vivid impression about Tibetan culture and religion. (B+L)
 
D09 Lhasa-Shanghai by air
Fly to Shanghai-the largest commercial and financial center of China. Stroll the Nanjing Road and visit the Bund (Wai Tan) waterfront area, a sweeping area along the Huangpu River, where used to be foreign concessions and now is the symbol of modern Shanghai. Here is the best place to capture the western influence of the old days. (B+L)
 
D10 Shanghai
A sightseeing journey today takes us to the Jade Buddha Temple, one of the best-preserved temples in China which contains two Burmese jade Buddha statues, and Yu Garden with a history of 400 years. It is characteristic of the architectural style of the Ming Dynasty. The neighboring Yuyuan Bazaar, known as "Old City God's Temple Market", is the place where visitors loitering among a cluster of shops, restaurants and recreation facilities invariably find themselves making a tour of discovery of local folklore and Ming and Qing architecture. Climb Oriental TV Tower for a bird eye view of the city. In the evening, watch stunning acrobatic extravaganza- Era-intersection time. As the first of its kind in China, it is the combination of traditional Chinese acrobatic arts and modern technology.(B+L+D)
 
D11 Shanghai departure
Transfer to the airport for the flight back home or to next destination. (B)
