 Terms & Conditions

The following Terms and Conditions govern use by all Users of China Tourhighlight.com. By booking a tour, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. China  Tourhighlight.com reserves the right to update the terms and conditions as necessary. It is your responsibility to review them periodically.

 

Reservation Policy

 

1. If you accept our customized itinerary and quoted price and would like to book the tour with us, please send us an email or fax to authorize us to place the booking with hotels and airlines concerned.

2. After we have received your authorization, we will send you immediately an order acknowledgement via e-mail, confirming that your order is now being processed. In normal circumstances, you should get an update on the status within 24 hours or less (but not on weekend or holidays). We will at the same time send you an invoice indicating the amount you need to pay for the deposit. If suggested hotel is unavailable then we will try to suggest an alternative hotel for your consideration.

3. According to our booking terms and conditions, a deposit of 10% per person of the tour cost is requested to be paid within 15 days after your booking is confirmed. The reservation is not considered firm until we have received your deposit. The service fee for payment will be your own. Balance must be settled 30 days prior to arrival in China.

4. After the booking is confirmed, you are still free to alter the itinerary.

5. 15-30 days prior to your arrival, we will send you the finalized itinerary with hotel information, local contact in each city, and also travel advice in China

On your tour in China. If you have any problem, you can contact your tour consultant anytime and anywhere.

Payment Policy

 

At present, we accept following methods of payment:

Alteration Policy

 

A. for Join in Tour:
As it is a tour with Fixed Itinerary and Guaranteed Departure Date, so no alteration is allowed. But the pre or post tour or accommodation can be added upon your request.

B. for Private Tour
Alterations to your itinerary before the booking will be processed free of charge. Alterations after payment of the deposit will also be free.

Our company is not held responsible for the consequence caused by late notice of any change made by the customer, for example, the non-confirmation of hotel for late alteration of itinerary. Penalty will be requested i f there is loss resulted. After commencement of the tour, the extra charge arising from any change by the customer will be on added.

Our company reserves the right to modify the itinerary of the tour if air schedule or surface transportation changes, and/or events beyond its control make such alteration necessary. In this event, any increase or reduction of the tour cost will be calculated and charged or refunded accordingly. If the tour is to be changed at the request of the clients, the client will be required to pay any additional cost in advance.

Cancellation Policy

 

We would deeply regret your decision to cancel your reservation, however we realize that there are always reasons that this can happen.

When you decide to cancel your reservation, you must send written notice of cancellation by fax/email to us.

The following fee will be assessed per person according to when you cancel your reservation.

Up to 31 days prior to departure: US$50 per person
30-15 days prior to departure: US$100 per person
14-3 days prior to departure: 50% of the full payment
100% of tour fare will be charged as penalty for any cancellation made within 48 hours prior to departure or no show on the departure date.

When a traveler cannot complete the tour for any reason, unused portion of the tour is non refundable.

Insurance

 

Like most travel companies in China, we only provides 'Travel Agencies' Liability Insurance' to clients. The clients will be compensated on the following conditions:

 Tourists' casualty (injury or death)

  Related expenses for medical treatment and related transportation fee

  Expenses related to the tourists' death and repatriating the body

  Expenses that occur when the necessary aid has been provided to tourists, including the    transportation fee, dining and lodging costs of relatives visiting; payment for the staff of the travel agency and doctors; fees for postponing the tourists travel itineraries
Loss, damage, and theft of tourists' belongings

  Legal costs incurred disputing the fault of travel agency

  Other compensation agreed upon between the travel agency and the insurance company

Since the Travel Agencies' Liability Insurance will not cover any expenses related to accidents outside of the control of the travel agency, it is highly recommended that the traveler buy personal insurance in his or her home country prior to departure.

Passport and Visa

All clients must be in possession of a valid passport and necessary visas or permits at the commencement of travel. All such documentation is the sole responsibility of the client. Please make sure that you have got your valid passport and visa 20 days before your entry to China. We can send you a free official invitation to assist you to obtain your visa after the reservation deposit is received.
 
Health Requirment
 
 
 
To ensure the smooth operation of the tour, a good health is very important. The client is solely responsible for checking the safety and security conditions, vaccination, and other health requirements of governments in countries visited or transited. Please consult with your physician regarding to your wellness and ability to travel long distance. Any physician or mental disability which requires special treatment or attention must be noted at the time of reservation.

Chinatour Highlight.com reserves the right to exclude clients who are physically or mentally unfit to undertake long trips.

Travelers to Tibet are required to provide a doctor's certificate stating that the he/she is fit to travel and his/her blood pressure and heart condition are normal. This is a necessary requirement because of the possible effects that the very high altitude may have on certain people.
 
Luggage Allowance
 
 
 
In accordance with regulations of the General Administration of Civil Aviation of China, the free baggage allowance within China is 20kg for the economy class, 30kg for the business class, and 40kg for the first class, plus limited carry-on luggage. Excess baggage charges are the sole responsibility of the client. Regulations within China specify that all suitcases must have a locking device attached. Failure to follow this regulation may result in refusal by airport staff to load suitcases onto the aircraft.

Our Responsibility

 

Chinatour Highlight.com shall provide a comprehensive service with regards to the said leisure and business trips. Chinatour Highlight.com shall in particular provide: accommodation according to promised standard, board, program, guide, transport and other services specified in the obligatory purchase/booking order, subject to availability of such services at time of purchase/booking order and subsequent confirmation of such service to the client by Chinatour Highlight.com.

As a tour operator, Chinatour Highlight.com is involved in booking hotel and air/train/cruise transportation for you. Chinatour Highlight.com will try its best to coordinate with the airline, cruise line or the hotel to ensure that everything goes on smoothly. But as Chinatour Highlight.com does not act as an agent for these service suppliers, it shall not be responsible for any wrongful or negligent acts, omissions, or the failure of any equipment operated by any suppliers or any other party not directly owned or controlled by Chinatour Highlight.com . However, Chinatour Highlight.com promise that it will be responsible for the willful or negligent acts of our partner travel agents for the land services like guide service, meals and car/van transportation.

In the case of non-provided service (non-effectuated transfer, non-effectuated city tour) due to the negligence of Chinatour Highlight.com, Chinatour Highlight.com  is obligated to compensate the service to the client. Chinatour Highlight.com shall however not be held responsible for any damage in clients’ perception whatsoever arising from any alteration or cancellation.
 
In case of Changes/Alterations from the customer: All changes including routes, itineraries, arrival date, the number of people traveling and other arrangements of confirmed tour shall be advised to Chinatour Highlight.com  in time. Chinatour Highlight.com  will not be held responsible for any delayed notice and penalty will be requested if there is loss resulted.
In case of cancellation, the customer shall inform Chinatour Highlight.com  in time to avoid any losses. Otherwise the cancellation penalty will be required as stipulated above.
 
Chinatour Highlight.com reserve the right to adjust its tour rate in the event of the expected currency devaluation and cost increases, including the increase in the airfare, cruise fare, hotel rate, entrance fees or fuel surcharge. But if Chinatour Highlight.com has received the full payment already, it will take all losses and not charge you more for the cost increase.
 
For the smooth operation of the tour, Chinatour Highlight.com reserves the right to accept or reject any person as a tour participant, to expel any tour participant from the tour, to make changes in the itinerary or to cancel a tour at any time whenever it deem necessary. Chinatour Highlight.com will refund any unused portion to the customer.
 
Chinatour Highlight.com will not be held responsible for any loss resulted from the factors uncontrolled by human beings, for example, climatic conditions, acts of government or other authorities, wars whether or not declared, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, terrorist activities.
 
The customer will take all risks or losses arising from any unauthorized extra services beyond our confirmed itinerary that the client requires with the local agent, local guide or the driver. But Chinatour Highlight.com will try its best to help the customer get out of the difficulties including chase compensation if any damages or losses occur.
 
Chinatour Highlight.com is not responsible for a client’s failure to comply with customs regulations or the suspension of the tour for any fault of the customer.
 
The tour always includes some activities which require care attention. All activities are undertaken at your own risk. Chinatour Highlight.com, its guides and local agents cannot be responsible for any action or event that occurs after its said employees and agents have exercised their duty and taken the necessary care. Chinatour Highlight.com is not responsible for the lost of any customer’s personal property due to his or her negligence.
 
Before the commencement of the tour, Chinatour Highlight.com reserves the right to substitute hotels, flights, or cruise ships, to alter itineraries, or to cancel the tour. If Chinatour Highlight.com has cancelled any tour, it is liable to refund all the payment received.
 
Chinatour Highlight.com reserves the right to take photographic or film records of any of its trips, and to use any such photographic or film records for promotional and/or commercial purposes.
 
Chinatour Highlight.com reserves the right to modify or rescind the above terms and conditions in whole, or in part at any time with or without notice.

Complaints and Claims

 

If you feel unsatisfied with any service Chinatour Highlight.com has provided during the trip, you can let your guide know about it or you can inform our company directly by phone or fax.

If you are still not satisfied with what has done for you, you can also complain to the China National Tourism Administration (CNTA) or to the Institutions of Supervision over Quality in each province.

Also, all the big tourist cities have set up hot lines for tourists to voice their complaints. Most of the complainants were satisfied with the verdicts, which were arrived at after thorough investigations and verification of facts.

In the event of claim for compensation, you must inform us by email, regular mail, or facsimile in writing within 15 days from the end of your tour. Relevant receipts and substantiating evidence must be attached to the letter of claim. Chinatour Highlight.com will not be liable for any claims made later than 15 days after the completion of your tour. Chinatour Highlight.com will look into the case and give reasonable and fair refund if it is justified.
